Best Comedy Movies that will Lighten up your Mood

♦ Step Brothers (2008)

If you like Will Ferell and have enjoyed his previous movies, then I’m sure you’ll enjoy this too. Step Brothers is silly and stupid but also hilarious at the same time! Ferrel and Reilly as step brothers keep you entertained throughout the movie with their dialogues and stupidity.

♦ We’re the millers (2013)

I wasn’t expecting much while watching We’re the millers. But after I finished watching it, it exceeded my expectation as I found it to be quite entertaining! The storyline may be predictable but at least its original. Unlike in Horrible bosses, I liked Jennifer Aniston in this film and Jason Sudeikis’ role as pot dealer was refreshing too.

♦ The Dictator (2012)

There’s no wonder Cohen is a talented comedian. Not only The Dictator has its fair share of laughs but also a decent storyline and engaging characters. Watch Borat (2006) if you liked this movie.

♦ Jump Street Series (2012 – 2014)

Even though the first one was better, both of these movies have quite a lot of funny moments. Jonah hill and Channing Tatum play undercover cops and highest moments of the films are whenever they are together. And after watching that between-credit scene of 22 Jump Street, I want few more of Jump Street sequels.

♦Dumb and Dumber (1994)

The classic comedy Dumb and Dumber has its funny moments from beginning to the end. Dumbest pair of Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels in the movie make viewer laugh off their seats. While you decide who is dumber of the two, you’ll also experience one of the funniest film ever made. The sequel of course, even after so much of hype and anticipation, fails to deliver like this one.

♦ The 40 year old virgin (2005)

This Steve Carell starrer film won hearts of both audience as well as critics with this film. In the crowded list of sex-comedy movies, The 40 year old virgin simply stands out and succeeds to entertain. Carell very much brings vulnerable and likable loser quality in his role and supporting casts also does pretty descent job!

♦ Ted (2012)

This extraordinarily entertaining foul mouthed bear is what it makes this movie entertaining. If foul jokes doesn’t offend you then, this movie is worth a try for you. Packed with lots of funny moments, good humor, intelligent narration, satisfactory performances Ted is a decent enjoyable flick.

♦ Tropic Thunder (2008)

How many war films are there which have fair-share amounts of funny moments into it? In the list of few, Tropic Thunder simply stands out. It’s a crazy fun film which will exceed your expectation. Amazing performance by Jack Black, Ben Stiller, Robert Downey Junior keeps you entertained and specially Tom Cruise who steals the show with unlikable yet really funny character.

♦ Kiss kiss bang bang (2005)

From the director who brought Lethal Weapon and Iron Man 3, Kiss kiss bang bang is an amazing rom-com which will keep you entertained from start to the end! The movie has smart script, witty dialogues, unconventional screenplay & storytelling and decent performances.

♦ Neighbors (2014)

There’s no question about Seth Rogen’s talent. But comparing to his other films, his performance in this film falls flat. Even though Neighbors is gross in some scenes, it has evenly spread humor and lots of laugh moments.

♦ Up in the Smoke (1978)

If you do not care about story line and all you want is to laugh from beginning to end of the movie then Cheech and Chong’s Up in the Smoke is the best movie for you to watch. It’s one of the coolest and funniest movie about stoners ever made.

♦ Pineapple express (2008)

Pineapple Express is not just another comedy movie about marijuana. With awesome star cast : Seth Rogen, James Franco and Gary Cole, this movie will entertain you throughout (just don’t expect much). It’s not that plot is the highlight of the movie, what stands out is performances and funny moments.

 

♦ The Mask (1994)

The mask is a enjoyable comedy. The talented actor of Liar Liar, Ace Ventura Series (2 another recommended comedy films), Jim Carrey excels in this role too! One of the classic comedy, The Mask takes you on a crazy ride with Jim Carrey who in the film discovers a mythical mask which converts anyone who wear it into maniac superhero. Cameron Diaz leaves good impact in her debut film.

 

♦ Airplane! (1980)

Another classic comedy Airplane is unarguably one of the funniest movies ever made. With smart direction, skillful camera work, well paced story line & script and lots of funny moments, Airplane! is a film not to be missed in comedy genre.
